God is my mob enforcer

So, following an election in which eight members of the school board who had supported introducing "intelligent design" to their curriculum were voted out of office, Pat Robertson has warned Dover, PA not to be surprised if God withdraws his protection from them. "Just remember," he tells Dover, "you just voted God out of your city."

Wait, I'm confused now. I thought intelligent design wasn't about religion. It seems awfully mean of God to deliver a town over to disaster just for rejecting intelligent design when its own supporters maintain that it isn't religious.

I remember Robertson warning Orlando in the late 90s that they would be visited by natural and man-made disasters after they extended some symbolic victory to homosexual groups. He's a weird guy.
