And that, it turns out, was the problem. Or so the official explanation of Harriet Miers' withdrawal of her nomination this morning. SCOTUSblog has reproduced the letter and, weirdly enough, her revised answers to the Senate questionnaire, submitted "very late last night" to the Judiciary Committee.
